Maya's new puppy (as told to me by Maya, herself)

I have a new puppy which is called Gracie. I like playing with her and giving her food. I like to play hide and seek with Gracie. She's a bull-terrier and looks sort of like this: (this is not Gracie, but a picture that looks like her.) She's cute and funny. I miss her a lot when I'm not with her.  And sometimes she sleeps on her side with her ear flopped over.  When she starts to cry I pick her up and play games with her. Tis the Season

Maya is out on two weeks of vacation from school. She'll be spending lots of time with lots of relatives. Linda's family will be spending this first week together so Maya will get a lot of time with her cousins from that side of her family. This past weekend my sister, Diana, took Maya to see a performance of "The Nutcracker". Maya had never seen this before. A funny thing about Maya is that typically when Maya sees a live performance, she usually doesn't comment on it right away or she'll seem really aloof about it. But usually a few days later, after she's processed the experience, she'll start talking about it. Maya will be with me next week...not sure what we'll do, but I'll have to plan on doing something fun. Perhaps a trip to The City...or to the snow...depending on the weather.
